Hey this is my first post though i’ve been using vray4su for a lil while now. Fantastic program. This is filler for my portfolio, a bathroom with a view (not for shy types)

Re: Seaview Bathroom
hey really nice… I love the lighing with the soft shadows. Did you use sun light for this?
Re: Seaview Bathroom
I used vray sun and a single rectangle vray light on the glass at the far end with the shadow mutipler cranked right up to soften the shadows for that early morning feel ![]()
Re: Seaview Bathroom
Hey nice render…yeah I love the soft shadows :)…
when you say shadow multiplier are you talking about increasing the subdivisions of the rectangle light ???
Re: Seaview Bathroom
If you increase the size mult. on the sun parameter you can get soft shadow with the sun as well.
Best
Re: Seaview Bathroom
That tends to create more noise on the shadows though. Any way to reduce the noise but maintain a decent render time?
Re: Seaview Bathroom
It is true. The only way to reduce the noise is increasing the subdivision, but it will increase your rendering time. The best way to get soft shadow is with rectangular light, but some user want to use only the sun. That is why I mentioned that. Also depending of the sun altitude you will get the correct shadow for the desired ambient.
I like the render, but I don’t want those glass windows in my bathroom. ;D
Best
Re: Seaview Bathroom
I used a combination of both of those techniques, increased the size multipler of the vray sun and increased the subdivisions of the rectangle light to minimise the noise.
Re: Seaview Bathroom
Very nice render, I like the scenery wish it was my bathroom!
