Hi,
Anyone knows how to create this material. Semi transparent, translucent acrylic material ?
Hi,
You can use the refraction glossiness (set it to 0.5 for example) or use the frosted glass from the library as a starting point.

I tried it, but it casts sharp shadows. Is there anyway to overcome that ?Thanks anyways
To achieve soft shadow edge, increase light/sun size
Thank you very much. Isn’t there any other way?
Cuz I have few other windows that gets direct sunlight from them
You can try getting the diffuse lighting effect by enabling caustics in GI. I don’t recall the specifics now, I had set up something like that in a previous version of V-Ray for SU. As peerman says, you need to have semi-glossy refraction set up in your material.
You can see the problem Tharusha is trying to solve - in your example the sun casts sharp shadows on the wall. The shadows should be diffused by the translucent material.
I tried to turn off “affect shadows” which turned off the sunshadows. Maybe with an additional rectangle light to simulate the daylight coming in could help?
