I get Vantage the way I want, and the settings do not stick. I go into MAX, tweak something, and when I return to Vantage ,everything is reset back to default. I remember this being an issue when I was beta testing and it seems it persist. What am I doing wrong?
If you are restarting the live link, you need to first save your settings from “File → Save Scene” and then, after starting the live link again, load them from “File → Open Scene as Config Only”.

Even when I cancel a render, inside of Vanatage, it’ll reset the noise threshold.
Anybody? Something isn’t right. I toggle to MAX, make a change, and Vantage resets. I have to go through each time to set my options. Also, Vantage default has the exposed bias of -2, and I don’t know where that comes from. How do I set it and forget it?

You can save the default settings from Edit → Save Scene Settings as Defaults.
If you want to restore the factory defaults, go to %appdata%/Chaos/Vantage and delete defaults.vantage .

Thank for the screengrab. From it I see that you have the quality preset set to Ultra. Upon render start that configuration for Ultra is loaded and sets certain properties, noise threshold is one of them. If you would like to keep settings during render from the Render settings tab I would advise you to set the preset to Custom. By the way you can find here what properties are set for each preset: %appdata%/Chaos/Vantage > render_quality_presets.json
