Please help me ![]()
here my test:
and here sets shader:
cheers !
I’d say some more contrast in darker areas or a bit different lighting setup to enhance one side of the tomato. A little less scattering too.
Maybe making it less glossy does the trick already, if not, maybe turn down the saturation of the reflection down a little bit, it seems a bit too orange.
Maybe adding some texture to brake reflection
or glossiness. Just a little to get some details and
variations to surface. There is no perfect surface in nature.

hello !
Big Thanks Guys!
I think SSS is very good for this kind of shaders but I don`t know how use that
of course Lights are important and targets.
Maybe somebody play with SSS and Tomato?
About texture is good idea, but I`d like got: http://www.victoriananursery.co.uk/vegetable\_seeds\_and\_plants/vegetable\_seeds/tomato\_seed\_abraham\_lincoln/l/tomato\_abraham\_lincoln.jpg

To me what you’ve already got is pretty good! I think the lighting situation is letting it down. Get a good studio lighting system going and THEN mess around the material.
+1
I think you are pretty close really.
I said Flowers not tomatoe’s…

If you are using subsurface scattering in the standard VrayMaterial then I would suggest using fast SSS2 as this will be much quicker, & easier to control with more options.
If you look at tomato juice it is very similar in density to milk [which there is a preset for] Seen as though they are both similar materials Try starting with the milk preset & tweaking the colours.
Hope this helps
