I am doing a diagramatic model, I dont want the shadows to show up at all so it looks more sketchy. I turned off shadows and played around with a lot of the settings, but they wont turn off, they just get dark black. I know in other programs you can change the color from light to dark, white being nonexistent. How do I do this?
I think I got it to work, I put it in a box with some lights and now it looks pretty sweet. I will have to play around with some settings. Could you post your .visopt and I can test it out? Thanks!
Not sure if the vizop from a newer version will work on an older one. But I just made a quick test with the default settings. Only thing I did was untick shadows. I’ve never tried to render without shadows, so I haven’t tried it with earlier, but maybe it’s a bug in the version you use?
In any case I recommend that you upgrade. 1.05.03 is miles better than 1.00.74.
This could be a stupid question, but how would I upgrade. We actually just bought a license from ASGVIS a month or so ago. Couldn’t imagine that the version would be outdated that fast. Where’s the newer download?
The SR1.5 release addresses allot of issues people had with SR1.0. I for one could not make use of it for production use. But SR1.5 is great. I don’t think they planned to make another point release after SR1.0, but I’m sure glad they did.
I don’t know how you can find it otherwise. This new site layout is very confusing. In fact, when you order VfSU now it still points you to version 1.00.73 after you’ve confirmed your order. I’ve noticed on this forum that there’s a number of people that haven’t noticed the new version, so you’re not the only one. I hope they address the site layout again, because while it looks fancy, the functionality is not good.
It’s worth reading the release note for SR1.5, some useful info on the changes.
