should i upgrade hardware and operate system? what’s the regular basic hardware requirment for properly running VRay in Sketchup?
thanks so much!!!
Re: should i upgrade my computer hardware
Nothing wrong with that spec, what size bitmaps are you using for your textures?
Re: should i upgrade my computer hardware
i have a farely big map with 8368 x 8701 pixels
Re: should i upgrade my computer hardware
That’s your culprit, that is very large for a material bitmap. Those sort of dimensions are common for backgrounds and HDRIs, but I’ve never needed to use anything bigger than 4000 x 4000 px for textures and that was for extreme close-ups. Where did you get a texture bitmap that size from?
Re: should i upgrade my computer hardware
i required the image from manufacture. it’s for a waving ceiling. my problem is the UV map ruby script doesn’t work for curved shape, so i edit a huge map in Photoshop instead.
