Hi, this is simple interior scene, I used for LWF testing. C & C welcome:)
mm
Looks too perfect to me, too organized. Perhaps some chaos on the position of the chairs, just a slight one would be more appealing. Also the table stands very empty, maybe you can arrange a few flowers in a vase there or smth like that.
But anyway, that’s mainly personal oppinion. The image looks great anyway ![]()
Wow, very nice indeed!!!
verrryyyy nice!!!
Can some one please tell me why is LWF better the using Exponential Color Mapping.
Go read the threads dude.
cpnichols wrote: Well let me put it this way… do you use photoshop? I am sure you do or something that can in fact read HDRI or EXRs. So why not render in float then take it to photoshop and be able to adjust the exposure after the render? THEN save it as 8 bit if you want.

nice image, very clean.
It needs a really nice lamp of some sort above the dining table
where is the test … here is only one perfect image ![]()
looking very good
Your floor is incredible. Is that bump or displacement with glossy reflection? What are your settings for that material?
Yeah i agree with cilfton, that floor is nice!!
lighting is perfect
can you tell us how did you light this scene?
Stunning
This is stunning particularly the floor but over all, it is really excellent work. The exterior scene (I’m presuming a HDR of some sort -or other texture map) seems a little to close to the window, a great image overall, superb.
thanks for your comments. there is reference photo for this scene:

the floor material is vray material with glossy reflections, there is vray 2d displacement - I think it needs blend material for nonreflective gaps between tiles.
lighting - IRM -3/-1, LC 3000, linear color mapping, there are three vray lights in windows, stored with ir. map
exterior scene is just a photo, overbrighted and quick added in photoshop, you are true, now i can see, it is little bit close:-/
to get more detail in the shadows.. turn off “store with ir map”
I would never suggest using this unless your pressed for time.
Also LC @ 3000 seems fairly high for a single frame.

To control the reflection in the grout lines, you could try using a mix map instead of a Blend Material. Blend Materials are notoriously slow, so a mix map would be a much better option.
If you are using a Falloff map you can place a bitmap with black grout lines in the Side Slot, to drop the reflection along the grout.
It’s a bit hard to explain without a diagram, so I’ll try and upload one.
Looking great…to me the timbers textures look slightly off scale and clean…other than that…perfect image
2teabag: yes, I agree, wood texture is bigger than in normal world:/
2dejavu: thanks for advice, I did not know, that blend mat is slow. I think I understand what you are saying to do with the fallof map, I will try it.
how about putting a tile map under reflections slot? has everybody ever use that method?
u just read my mind dominique!
yeah a tile map on the reflection slot would work nicely
