hi, i just finished this sceene… its pretty simple but it’s also one of those renders in wich i don’t know what else to do to make it better…
so… come on, hehe finish me (please)
cause that’s the only way i’ll keep learning
Re: simple stairs…
It’s a very nice render!
Perhaps the bamboo colour is a bit bland. And it might add a bit more life with more leaves on the bamboo.
The floor is maybe a bit too reflective. I think the stairs would look better if the wood protruded out of the base a bit so that there is a bit more depth. Right now, with the the step running flush with the white render, it looks like the steps could have been painted on. Stepping the steps out (
) could give a sense of how it was constructed too :-).
Re: simple stairs…
hi stevebo.
you’re right about the wood… it does look like it is just painted, and also about the bamboo… i actually used a bamboo texture but it isn’t even visible…
i wanted to make the sceene look like if it was taken by a camera with a flash.
thank you for your comment… i’ll see what i can do to improve it ![]()
Re: simple stairs…
This is great, but where is the picture? ;D
Re: simple stairs…
wow hahaha, don’t know where it went…
i’ll look for it later and upload it again
Re: simple stairs…
Brilliant work, mate!
You asked for it:
You said you wanted to make it look like the picture was taken using a photoflash. How about putting a spotlight next to the camera to achieve those typical cast shadows?
Here’s what I mean:
haha, that was the first reasonable image I found to express myself…
You can hardly see the cast shadows, since the light source is so close to the lens, but they’re there!
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
m
Re: simple stairs…
Yes - I think some experimenting with various light sources would help it further. Something to give the lighting more variation.
Re: simple stairs…
Interesting staircase.8). To much light from 2nd floor.
Re: simple stairs…
