I downloaded this file
and took the 2 components within the group (grass and flower)
Used Skatter to make a Skatter group with it using the Render Only feature
The materials are not rendered properly.
If I turn off the Render Only feature, they do render as expected. I contacted Skatter and they said that this is a VRay issue and I should report it to you.
able to replicate, however, I think its a “bad model” problem and not necessarily vray (if I had to guess). Mats were applied on group level (big no no for us) and there were multiple groups within components within groups. I had success with selecting everything, turning into vrmesh and then using that as a component to skatter around (and set to “render only”). That, or you can explode everything down and get it to raw mesh to get rid of the weird model issues and then try it
