SketchUp 2022 crashes when quitting on Mac

I’m getting pretty frequent crashes when quitting SketchUp 2022 on a pretty clean install (removed all SketchUp prefs, VFS in /Library, all Chaos folders in /Applications and ChaosCosmos in my home folder, and reinstalled V-Ray 60001).

macOS crash report suggests it’s Cosmos:

Crashed Thread: 27 V-Ray Cosmos Import Awaiter

Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000

Application Specific Information:
abort() called​

This happens even when opening only SketchUp and the default template.

Thank you for writing us. This is unfortunately a known issue and is already fixed by our developers. The fix will be included in the next hotfix.

@shelshok I came here looking for the same answer.

As a bandaid, running sketchup in rosetta seems to fix the issue.

In applications select the sketchup app, get info, then check the box for open in rosetta.
