Skin Shader and Facial Displacement

Just wanted to get some opinions on this skin shader and displacement map. I’ve only worked on the general face itself and there are problems with the UVs as you might see on the ear and around the nose holes. Anything look too out of place, too plastic or clay like at this stage? Does the material appear to be acting how you’de expect from the different angles with the light rig I’m showing? I have a rice hat for him now but any hair style suggestions? C&C are very welcome.

No displacement (kinda like Otto from Star Trek DS9)

IMO

I would say that the proportions are a bit strange
I’m talking about the eyes dimensions they are too big
They should be 1/5 of the head weight

For better explanation u can look at Burne Hogart artist study and explanation about head proportions

Anyway is nice and funny this head

bye and congratulations

Looks good.

But i think a little to clay like to too shiny overall.

Need to be more shiny in some places and less in others…you know what i mean.

Top stuff !!!

Thanks for the comments.
pengo: I see what you’re saying and I partially agree about the proportions. I’m working for more of a stylized character so I guess funny is good. I hope that they aren’t so far off it makes him look freakish though

DaForce: I’m still going to work on his reflection map and we’ll see how it turns out

Thanks much,
