Does anyone know where I could find some 3d clothes? I need shirts, jackets, pants, shoes boots. I have tried the usual places like Turbosquid etc. I need them for a project where they would be hanging on hooks or hangers. The rendering will be very detailed so texture mapped planes won’t cut it. My time line is very short so I won’t be able to model them myself.

shane, my only suggestion for you would be to get them from poser models. There are a lot of different clothes option to choose from.
actually here is a curious one. anyone have any clothes on hangers? simply flattening it using scale never seems to look natural.

I would go for poser too, it has a HUGE amount of dress collections, and u can buy individual ones even if u don´t own poser itself, because models come in OBJ format which u can import into max and use it as any other max object… However, making them hang is another issue. I would try to pull and push some vertices here and there to make them look ok, but i would give reactor cloth a try… I guess it depends on the number of different clothes you need… :roll:
just a simple closet would do. a mans suit. a couple of hanging pants, a few shirts, a dress or two. these things would be great for bedrooms or even if i had to do a clothing store
I’ve been wanting to give Cloth a try at stiching a tee shirt together - then drape it on a hook.
Thanks guys, I’m going to give the poser thing a try. I use Viz so Reactor cloth is out. I also own Cinema 4d which has a nice cloth engine. I’ll see if I can relax some Poser props with Cinema and bring them back into Viz for rendering.
