What would make some models become very slow to cancel the rendering? I have a model that takes about 3 minutes to cancel a rendering. Very frustrating…
its a bug per se thats been hitting alot of people, myself included. Vlado I think said its being improved in the next build.

from the bugfix list from one of the “intermediate” rc5s:
(*) Starting/finishing rendering could be extremely slow in 3dsmax R9;
Issue should be fixed in the upcoming releases.

btw can’t find any rc5 or rc4 anywhere…and get really bored with those vertices…

I think you have to e-mail Vlado fir the latest build. I am running RC4 and am having the issue so I am assuming it is the fix in RC5

It would be very helpful if you can send me that model to vray@chaosgroup.com; the issue should have been fixed in rc4, so I assume this might be something else.
