Hello!
The complex camera path is amazing and really helpful. I do have one problem though and would love some help. I always get this “click” between cameras where the film shifts quickly. Is there any way for this to be avoided?
Hello @archidoge
Which Enscape version do you use? We’ve improved this behavior in the most recent release. Please post an example video, if possible. Even better if you could export video path as XML and attach it here.
Hello. I am using the latest version 2.2.1.11 . And here a link to the video. It is 3 Simple cameras one after the other https://we.tl/q270YN6gvN
@archidoge that looks not good for sure. Could you please also attach exported video path so we could take a closer look at your particular setup?
Here the xml https://we.tl/nuZVBAwKTC
@archidoge thanks!
You are welcome. If you could give me some advice how to stop the camera from jumping that would be awesome ![]()
@archidoge first of all - how did it happen that your video path is so far away from the origin?
It is somewhere at (x=“-19195” y=“-17.8743” z=“9081.16”). It should not be the problem, but it seems to be.
Workaround: work closer to the origin (0, 0, 0) if you can. I’ve removed leading thousands from the position and it worked fine.
We will investigate why it behaves strange when placed so far away.
One more important setting is the camera speed in Enscape settings. Please share it here if moving back to the origin will not help you.
Thank you very much Alexander. I will test it right away and share the result ![]()
The strange origin problem must have come from my original import of the 3ds. I draw the project in Vectorworks and then imported and scaled in Sketchup…a stupid thing to do as I found out but it was too late to start again…
Hello again. I moved the origin point close to my building but the problem persists. I tried different camera speeds, I tried the older and the newer version, different FPS and different qualitity, no difference at all sadly
Other suggestions?
@archidoge are you sure you use the latest Enscape version?
Just to clarify - the problem you mean is the short jump back when a keayfame is reached?
Here is the video I created with your path: https://we.tl/rKxLl0Do0M
There are a bit hard orientation changes at keyframe locations, but no “clicking”. Is it what you mean?
Hi, I also have this issue with the clicking between the key frames. My revit model is set a long way from the origin due to the datum point of the site. I have the latest version of enscape on:
Revit 2017.2
17.0.1146.0
20170816_0615(x64)
2017.2.2
We are looking to deliver a fly through to the client in a few weeks so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Alexander asking me 3 times if I have the last version does not really help. On my video there is a clear jump when the camera hits the next keyframe. In your video the transition is smooth. We cannot charge money if the camera jumps like that obviously. I downloaded the version before the texture bump option and have to piece together the fly through from multiple videos which is really time consuming, especially now when we have the multiple point cameras. The problem is still open and I am hoping to be fixed somehow on next releases.
Regards, Ivan
@archidoge sorry, didn’t realize I’ve asked you already. I’ve filed the bug.
@archidoge @bryn.railton investigation showed that the problem is in the floating point numbers precision. We have this bug in our agenda, but we don’t expect it to be fixed within next few days unfortunately.
As a workaround, again, try to use models within shorter coordinates. Check out if the software you use to create the models allows applying transformation while exporting to move it closer to the origin.
If the model is very far away from the origin, videos should be less jumpy in the 2.2.2.1 version.
