I have 4 render blades. all with latest dr server all with activation txt file in correct location as per the freshdesks article. They are replying to pings and showing up in the dr tab on the local machine but when they try and run max dr it never loads and the log says ‘recieved no response from 3ds max’ . Something i noticed is that before i added the txt file the nodes werent taking a license from the licensing server either. Could there be a problem there? But as i say at the moment they don’t seem to be able to launch max and begin rendering.
Which version of Corona, DrServer and Licensing Server are you using? With latest builds you should receive error messages in case of some known problems.
Are you using some firewall/antivirus software which could be blocking the connection?
Another thing which would be great is this:
Should you encounter any additional problems, please report them to us providing the content of drData folder located in DrServer root directory. You can easily find it by clicking on the path visible in DrServer.exe window. The best way to do this is to completely remove the content of DrData folder, run unsuccessful rendering again, and then send us the freshly-created log files.
Hi Maru, im using the oct 7 build. Im using corona 1.2 and licensing server v1 march 30th.
The firewall would block pings wouldnt it? I know that the setup has worked in the past with backburner and vray so i dont think firewalls would be a problem for me.
Ive checked the max log and i think ive found the problem. It isnt seeing the coronautils2014.dlt or corona2014.dlr files but they are in the max plugins folder for the correct version so this is puzzling me a bit.
I think ive fixed it. I reinstalled 1.2 with the hotfix on all the nodes and they are picking up the licenses and rendering as we speak. thanks maru. I think it was just a case of version discrepancies somewhere along the line.
Ok thanks. Im noticing as my render goes on that there are desaturated bars appearing across the image. This has happened before but all the maps in the file are from a single network folder so i dont see why it would be missing textures (although it probably is) since the image is so large and the exrs it spits out are so thin you can barely see any content, i cant debug. Does corona report any missing maps?
will that need to be on all my nodes too for it to work or just the local machine? For now ive copied all maps locally on the nodes but ill give that a try next time
