Whenever i use DR with Corona, after 20-30 passes a dark band occur in VFB and within seconds, number of passes jumps to 300- 400. The dark band never goes away until i disable DR. There are no Corona error messages either.
It happens regardless of number of computers Corona DR server is running on. All the maps are in network shared mapped drive and all plugins used in the scene are available on all computers. I am using Corona 1.3.
Unfortunately, i can’t collapse everything to editable poly as the scene is quite big and has lots of instanced geometry. Any other suggestions ? Thanks,.
3ds max - 2016, Corona 1.3 and yes i am using additional plugins such as Complex Fresnel, MultiTexturem SigerNoise etc. They all are copied to other machines which i am using for DR,
Does this happen with every scene or only with this particular one? (You wrote “Whenever I useDR (…)”)
Have you looked at your log files? (drServer/drdata directory). If not: could you do a test Dr rendering and look at the last few lines (or better: delete the logs in the first place, do your rendering until it fails/ends, zip them and attach them
Is there a max file called received_scene_.max created in the drData directory of a slave when you start DRing?
Have you tried DR with deactivated firewall(s)/antivir programms (if any)?
That WX-Error: You get this on the master pc? Looks for me like: no more ram left, some error message is about to be prepared but something prevents access to the computers correct date/time. Your date/time is set correctly on all nodes?
Just a few questions where the answers may help. You have really never been able to use DR in the past?
Hi,
I have the same problem, I have test all the solution but always the same error message
This is a simple test scene with only one HDRI map but I have dark strip on my render.
If someone can help me, I would appreciate it
Thanks
Sorry, I have never do followingat this conversation but the problem it’s resolved.
It’s was a problem with my textures paths
Thanks everybody for your help.
I will try to be the most clear as possible but sorry I’m not very good in English.
1/ So, I have installed full version of 3ds Max in my 3 slaves machines because for me, doesn’t work with only backburner.
2/ I have create a “Homegroup” and shared all my textures map folder (Read and Write).
3/ Launch Backburner Manager in your master machine and in slaves machines launch Backburner Server and double click on Corona Server (Right clic onDrServer icon, Compatibility, check “Run this program as an administrator”)
4/ In 3ds Max, go to Asset Tracking and set path of all your textures use in your scene.
It’s very important to set path like this: Network/name_of_your_computer/name_of_your_shared_folder/sub_folders
for me: Network/AJ/RESSOURCES_3D/SHADERS
5/ After, I think you know Render Setup/System/Enable/Search LAN/ Render
6/ If doesn’t work, return to Asset Tracking and go to Bitmap Performance and Memory and uncheck “Enable Bitmap Packing”, restart Max and re launch your render.
