I need help getting rid of these fireflies in my emission channel. This happens regardless of reflectivity (was getting different fireflies there, but toned them down by reducing glossiness).
The leaves are opacity mapped and use the RGB Intesity for Mono Channel Output. The background is just an .hdr in the direct visibility slot.
I can solve the problem by rendering out the background separately, but that’s an annoying work around.
yeah sorry, its difficult to see whats happening, I’ve attached 5 frames from the emission channel if you click through them you can see the flickering. The material tree is attached too, the other leave materials are the same.
I just turned off the opacity maps on all the leafs to see if that was the issue, but it wasn’t, the fireflies are still there in the emission channel.
Most probably solved: old bug where CoronaBitmap behind transparent objects would be displayed in “screen” mode regardless of its settings. Fix is to use daily builds or switch from Corona Bitmap to standard 3ds Max bitmap node. Waiting for confirmation and will be resolved.
