Hello developers, here are the bugs I’ve found while using this release,The version number is 2.0.1.72.
1.In the material editor, you need to suck the material twice to show the editing interface of the corresponding material.
2.During real-time rendering of a scene file, importing an external monolithic model will invalidate the real-time rendering and prevent the entire real-time rendering from proceeding.
3.When using curic’s dio extrusion plugin, the realtime rendering doesn’t work when the model is changed, whereas sketchup’s own push/pull feature recognizes and renders in realtime
4.When you click on the “Start Enscape” button without closing the enscape interface, the whole rendering interface will be brightened, which is not the real effect. If you close the enscape interface and click the button again, the whole rendering interface will brighten up, which is not a real effect.
I hope this will help you to better improve the product’s functionality, and thank you to the developers for their
Could not reproduce. Please describe a bit more what you are doing what dos not work. Maybe it is project specific?
We have encountered a crash after importing another sketchup project while Enscape was running. But this seems to be a different issues. What do you mean by monolithic model?
We don’t have this plugin at hand, further investigation will be scheduled.
Confirmed.
Thank you for reporting and looking forward to further information from you.
I’m looking forward to fixing them, can you please whisper the approximate update schedule after fixing these bugs, as they have a huge impact on the project schedule? Thank you!
I also updated the latest version, which solved the problem of not being able to start enscape normally, but there are new bugs. When using enscape rendering, it often crashes and the screen often flickers. These all happened after updating to version 2.0.172.
Nothing suspicious besides the fact that at some point we just don’t get any surface we could render to from the OS.
We have exact same laptop for testing, may I ask you to give us that project to play with? Via PM if you wish. And maybe you can give some steps to reproduce?
From the first sight GPU just cannot keep up with the scene complexity, even in the draft quality mode, which should mean there is probably something wrong with geometry.
I don’t have a good workaround for you now besides using lower quality modes which does not solve the problem, but at least has less impact on the performance which should help a bit.
We will have a deeper look at the scene contents to figure out if there is something weird or if we could optimise anything.
This is happening to me too. I am running a brand new M2 Max Macbook with 64GB of RAM and a 38 core GPU. I just paid for the full version of Enscape after completing the trial on the basis these crashes were fixed in the new update (I was going to wait until this update before I bought it, but the update came out the same time as my trial ended). I am now experiencing crashes every 30 - 40 minutes making it too unreliable to use, with no obvious pattern/cause, just in normal use. This is based on a fairly light model that has presented no issues on my previous machine (2017 27" iMac) over the course of a year or so of use.
The latest crash (log provided below) happened as I was filling in a face with a texture using the paint bucket in SU. Previous one was copying a face and moving it vertically.
I’m also experiencing various glitches and juddering in the Enscape window when rotating/zooming in on my model.
Sketchup version 23.1.341 and Enscape 2.0.1.72
Please can you let me know when it can be fixed as I have deadlines to meet! Rob L Error Log 01.txt (275 KB)
Yes, I’ve had to restart a couple of times today too
The whole Mac froze, not just a program crashing and closing itself - this is an unpleasant return to the old days before OS X limited the damage a crashing program would cause.
Today the real-time rendering process to switch viewpoints several times in the process of enscape crash, this version of the update is a bit more than worth it, I intend to switch back to catch up with the project schedule first, cry!
