soon 2 be a new cofee shop - WIP :)

well in a very early stage :)))))) ive starter it now

Adaptive AA 0/3
IM set to high + PM

1 vraylight
1 dirc light - shadows
some glow
scene took 2m.20sec

i think theres no much to talk about :)) ive hide the glass from the windows, takes to long to render..

ps: sorry for the bad english | lets work… after ive previewed it it looks funny…

good start, i like the quality of light in the room, maybe add some direct light to simulate the sun.

Chris Jackson

thx, but i have a direct light, not so bright as the sun  int.=2

ill try increase the search dist. to reduce some splotch.

im now facing some big file issues - this simple scene is now 18Mb in size.

ps: sorry for the bad english

theres the first time for every one  my problem with the size of my scenes, heres a post i got from discreet forum - it realy helps:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FILE SIZE BLOAT, HUGE MAX FILES - MAX 6

- the solution is a one you would have never guessed..

Do the following:
1. Go to file > XRef Objects and close it again.
2. Go to File > XRef files and close it again
3. Go to the pink text box on the left bottom of your screen. Type in: gc() and press enter
4. Save the file.

My files went down from 200Mb to 500Kb. I still have to do it once in a while because the files seem to become bigger the whole time.

Remko Vermeulen

- Its something to do with forcing a garbage collection (gc)

- I’ve found it works without 2 and 3 as well, but do recall that the XRef steps have been mentioned here before. Kevin Gleeson

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and it continues wip 2

dont look at the floor mat. im just setting the light.

im using only 1 vraylight for all the windows, should i use one for each other??? like from inten.15 to 5 for eg.?

can u post your scene ???, we can try render it

heres the file:

http://vr.pennwebdesign.com/index.php?dir=scenes/&file=vray\_setUp.zip

Ive applied a unique material to all obj. - white

thx in advance

Im curious. correct me if im wrong but it seems like your going at this all wrong. Wouldnt you model everything first, and then worry about the lighting? Just because in the end stuff may be blocking direct and indirect light?

Also, i dig the first shot the most, reminds me of the Animatrix.

:lordshaitan: ure right. im just curious if i can find a good light set. Im learning…

about that first one, its all about the glow

thx v0rtex , i will try it .

Vortex…i opened the file…and its a mess…youre using and combining standard and vray materials that slows down your calculation…youre not suppose to combine metal shaders..blin, phong should be used…and you should use photometric lights with proper ies files…your rendering time is to slow…too many light…

You are right its a mess, i ve started using default materials and did not change them. Ive use the scene converter and going to try some new render.

The photometric used are the; 15…-nice.ies  and the other from Erco Lighting (i think).
