Hello,

why i cant install Vray SP4 64+ from a networkpath?

I tried to install it from \\servername\folder$\Chaosgroup\Vray Sp4
(This folder$ ist unvisbile - ist a installfolder for our programs)

When i start the installation it crashes with a “windows critical error”.

With Vray SP4 32+ i dont try it. The Vray RT installation works from a networkpath.

When i copied the 64+ version to a local drive i can install it.

Somebody the same problem? Please try it!

Yep, we are aware of this issue. I’m not sure what causes it yet, but I’ve seen it happen with installation files of other products as well. For the time being, it would be best to copy the files locally. (I myself have never had this specific issue, although I regularly run V-Ray installations from network locations).
