Hi everyone. This is my next project 3 villas of quite different designs. Here is the first - still WIP - some love needed on the glass and a few other areas, but I’m going to move onto the next villa at this stage. Any C & C’s would be most welcome.
A question - The 3 villas are to be built on the same hillside and the client wants a flyround of the site. Obviously there will be quite a bit of landscaping to be done. Can anyone suggest a good way/program to create various aspects of the landscape - tress, shrubs etc that will work well in an animation.
I think it is heading the right way, maybe a bit more blue in the shadowed parts. The most distracting part is the grass, which pops of my screen. If you reduce its saturation, you will gain a lot in terms of realism. And the water bump does not look very real.
very cool , i personaly realy like this type of architecture. As well as the desaturation of the grass a bit, i would say add displcement. It may be displaced a bit already, but i can’t realy see it on the edges, try giving it some more. I find the vray displacement works realy good for grass.
I relly like your roof, are the slates modeled, v-ray proxies?
As for planting i find onyx works but that requires the plugin :x
Thanks - yes the slates are modelled. I take it onyx will cost me money!!
I’ll go back and play with the grass some more and the general lighting later - I’ve another 2 of these to do - I’ll keep posting updates as I appreciate the c & c’s
if you don’t need wind in your animation you can just buy the ‘broadleaf’ library ($195) from onyx to cut down on cost. then save the trees as 3ds and import into max that way.
