Standalone Exe Export File Size - Render Quality

Hello. Our team have exported a combined Revit Architecture and Structure model into the Standalone Executable file in order to have a ‘walkthrough’ to identify design issues.
The exported exe file size is 175MB. After opening the file, it is quite ‘laggy’ during walk mode. Our office’s standard PCs have 16Gb RAM.

My queiry are…

Is there any way to export a smaller exe file size? Ive tried changing the rendering qaulity settings, but doesnt seem to have any effect on the file size.

I have also tried exporting only half of the model in the 3D view (using 3D section box), this also doesnt seem to work.

Is increasing the RAM the only way to ensure a ‘smooth’ walkthrough?

Thank you in advance for any tips and suggestions.

Hi @Leung_King_Fai

the exported file size or the amount of RAM doesn’t affect the performance of the walkthrough, or how ‘smooth’ it feels that much. Much more important is the graphics card of the PC which executes the standalone. In that case reducing the Rendering Quality before the export should result in a very noticeable difference in performance. If that doesn’t work, please contact our support () - so that they can have a closer look on the issue!

Thank you @Clemens_Musterle for your advice. I exported using Draft Redndering Qality and it did improve the walkthrough performance, though quality had compensated. I will test the other settings as well. Thanks again.
