Standalone file ERROR

Hi,
I’ve received an exe file from a client to navigate inside the project but unfortunately i cant run it properly it keeps showing me an error related to my graphic card drivers and asking me to updated while it’s up to date.

My graphic card is rtx 2080 super
Attached are the picture of the error.

Thanks

@ekladiuos_1 , I’m sorry to hear about that.

Right away, if you ignore this error as per the dialogue, are you able to use the file? Otherwise, is there any chance that this particular standalone was created with an earlier version of Enscape? Further please also press the first button and send in the feedback report (first dialogue option).

when i ignore the error massage i can open and navigate in the file but it doesn’t render correctly as per the attached photo. regarding the version of the Enscape i have no idea what version the client is using.

That standalone seems to have been generated with Enscape 2.6.2 (Judging by the windows title text, and released over 2 years ago) - I’m afraid this will very likely be the culprit here, which mainly boils down to factors we have no control over (including e.g. windows updates, more recent graphics card driver adjustments), but if possible the client could simply re-export the scene with Enscape 3.4.3 now which can always be acquired here.

I know this may be frustrating, but this is also why we reccomend keeping backups of projects, as we simply cannot guarantee that older standalones will always run on newer systems. That should also not mean that projects exported with recent releases will be unusable anytime soon, as it can take years like in this case until you may run into problems.
