Hey Guys,
We use the standing seam style Cladding in alot for our projects but I have no clue as the best way to setup this material for Enscape. For the model we simply use a hatch pattern which is ok for documentation, but no good for rendering. Would a texture with bump map applied be the way to go? Or would modelling the Cladding in 3D be better? If so what’s the best approach? I’m sure there are users out there who have done it, very interested to hear peoples thoughts / ideas. ?

I use a line based family for standing seam. You have to pick each model line of the standing seam roof to generate the standing seam geometry. It’s a manual process that looks great but it’s time consuming. Best used late in the design process if possible.
A custom curtain wall and curtain wall system family can be setup for use alongside walls and roofs. This leaves for a more flexible option, but requires quite a bit of setup to get right. Again it would have to be updated once walls roofs and openings change.

Best tool for this job the sloped glazing tool with no glazing and have your mullions = the standing seams. Then place over your roof.
