just wondering if it is neccesary to use a vray physical camera to get a good render or you can get the same result with a std camera?
Just adds more controls and lets you adjust them in a different way, it’s personal preference.
Doesnt make any difference to the quality of your images.
Yo dude, check out this ‘giant sparkly shiney happy people’ animation, all done with standard cameras.

(edit: helps if i post the link)
By the way, are there still Zonkeys in Tijuana?
The model would of fit in the shots a bit better if he’d used physcam and the right distortion, just say’n…
There are some specific features in the physical camera (e.g. distortion), which you can’t get with a standard camera.
Best regards,
Vlado
zonkeys? hahhaa, donkeys dressed like zebras, haha, yes, you still can find some zonkeys to take your tijuana souvenir , haha,.
btw, have you ever visited tijuana?
ps. can’t wait to have my own vray license.
we have a zonkey here in barbados but there is no difference between rendering them with vray camera or standard hehe
Physical camera was used for those shots - they were just a nightmare to track and it was the first time we’d done any tracking on that scale.
I meant in the overall image, if you’d read my post I did say it had more features but… you can get the same standard of render. (lighting quality etc.)
