Storybots - HAP

This is a quick little project to take a break from other bigger projects. This little character’s name is HAP and is from Netflix’s Storybots. I’ve always thought the flapping head 2D characters were creepy…even more so in 3d :slight_smile:

I sculpted and textured him in Zbrush. Fibermesh was setup for the brows and mustache. Multiple polypaints were created to control the fuzz. I extracted everything and brought him into 3dsMax where I setup Hair&Fur (anyone want to buy me Ornatrix?..PLEASE!), V-Ray Fur, a simple rig, shaders and lighting.

this is brilliant! I quite like the clay version as well.

Oh dear god, that’s terrifying! But great stuff.

I absolutely LOVE the Storybots. Me and my kids watch it a lot. I don’ think I’ll show this to them though, just in case they get nightmares!

Same here, my boys keep watching the Christmas special over and over :slight_smile: I showed my oldest…he just gave me a funny look hahaha.
