Substance Source Materials With V-Ray

Vray Version 4.02.04
Unreal Version 4.203
Utilizing SS plugin for UE4 generates textures with empty source file path. The auto export generates 1K T3D file. In other words there are no .png or .tga files for V-ray to fetch during render time.
Is there a work around for this?

Is it possible to use V-ray Scans directly in UE4?

There is a work around for using the substance materials. It requires baking the substance material into static textures that you can later feed in the material. Here is a video that shows that workflow:

Not at the moment. If you used VRScans material in Max, for example, and then imported the vrscene in Unreal the Material will have a pink material representation. You can set the “Use material from .vrscene” option and you will render the VRScans material. If you wish to change any parameter you will have to make changes in Max and then reimport the modified material. In future builds we will add full support with preview in viewport and parameter modification. It’s good to point that VRScans require additional license.
