Looking good. BTW, you may want to add a credit for the color article you have on your “tips” section that it is from here (there was a link to it in an older thread of yours which is why I recognized it.)
Thanks… I use squarespace and they do have a reference field that you fill out and I did give credit. At the end of the post you get a link… I’ll put one in the actual post.
somethings odd.
The colour of the sky doesnt match the lighting on the building
another iteration

hmm nice, second image is cool …
Thanks… my first time using the vertexpaint tool and I am getting the hang of multiscatter.
Nice…I prefer the second image…lighting is really nice and the rocks and shore look much nicer. Did you get your white bark textures from CG textures, cause ive been looking for ones like that for ages !
Thanks stevesideas. The trees are from the i-Cube library… I dropped about a grand in their pockets over the last month, but everything seems to be top notch.
Cheers. I’ll have to take a look at their stuff.
What are you using vertex paint for?
I used vertex paint for the sand to dirt transition.
It’s looking good…the only element in your composition that looks odd is the water(it looks metalic), it should be kind dark green in my opinion.

Yes. I have heard this several times.
Are you using landscape plans or it’s more an artistic approach?..houses on the lake (at least what I’ve seen) they have privated beach(sand) and/or border in stone( retaining wall) and/or wild grasses…a combination of these three common solutions will help to get a better looking rendering…I like the first one with the trees on the front from the second rendering.
Fernando
I had an existing site photo from that view, from the frozen lake, so I used that information.
i like the 1st one a lot..
how did u go about that grass?
I used multiscatter with their grass library
