Swarm rendering not starting

Hi all,

I am trying to use another PC to render an image using Vray swarm. I can see both computers are in the swam network. I check the do not use local pc in the render settings as I only want to use the other PC for the render. Once i press the production render button, nothing really happens. Please see screenshot of the status on Swarm (it stays like this forever). It seems like it has reserved the other PC but is not using it all to render, and also not using my current PC, therefore nothing happens.

Any advice on what I can do here?

All pcs are using the same version of vray and swarm.

Hello @daniel_zhang ,

You can try using Distributed Rendering. It is available since V-Ray for Rhino 7.10.00. You only need to enable Distributed Rendering, click on Add Host to set the Render Node machine’s IP and Port:

On your render node machine you need to run the same version of the V-Ray for Rhino installer, uncheck the Rhino versions, then enable V-Ray Standalone. Then you can find V-Ray Server in windows Start Menu, run it, check the Port and specify it on your main machine.
