system requirements ?

I need some information about the system what this needs?
I got a laptop (i7 2960XM / ATi FirePro 5950M / 4GB mem) and a server (2x AMD Opteron 6274)
But the rendering are very slow,
I have a simpel box and plane and it takes some hourse to render it.
Do,s it need Cuba cores to render or intel cpu,s to render?

You need any of intel for fast render. But not older i7 family with OverClock. Than newer the better (;
