Three weeks from start to finish. Well, almost finished. There is a lot more to show, but these are the views he wanted now. I have a lot of ground cover to do, which I am not looking forward to. It was supposed to be 100% done tonight, but when I went to start the landscape on Friday, there were no landscape plans and he didn’t reply to my request until Monday. He said that I shouldn’t have assumed it was there and it is my fault. Oh well!
Do you ever get in trouble for posting images that aren’t public yet?
I don’t post things under NDA.
Pretty cool…grass is not “yours”, I mean not as you usually do it I think (better). I guess they wanted this more of a golf grass. You use 40mm lens? I often use too wide lens and big stuff, even normal houses, look too far. I find it hard to get a good frame with zoom lens ![]()
No post, except for a slight curve. These were done really fast. I am not sure what lens I used, but I know I was trying to get a shallow depth of field.
I want to drive a G class too!
nice lighting (Y)
I agree on the grass . a bit too saturated and uniform but overall very good effort on those
The finals will have post work, these didn’t
Very nice…love the lighting as well! Hdri with Vray sun?
Yes, of course ![]()
beautiful work! shit load of work and modeling
good job man
Thanks. I am still working on it, it is due tomorrow.
Nicely executed across such a large project. All the landscape and vegetation work is impressive.
I?m looking for some updated people and vehicles. Can you say where you got the ones your using in these images?
Thank you! The cars are VP Traffic cars (https://www.viz-people.com/shop/3d-traffic-v1/). The cars are great, however, something with the layers is wonky. I get layers in MAX 2018 that I can’t delete, also, I hate having the VizPeople license plates; how would they think that was a good idea?
These are great looking images Bobby. Can I ask where you’re pulling your landscaping from? I’m assuming various Evermotion libraries?
Thanks I will check it out. I know what you mean about lisence plates. I have replaced a lot of British type looking plates on vehicles I have used from other sources. They really stand out as wrong in a USA based scene.
are the people also from viz people? Some of those look like 3D people. They look better than most other 3D people I have seen. So far I have always used 2D people and it works but… always looking to use/ try something more better.
The people are all 3D from varies places. Lately, I have been buying RenderPeople.
All over the place. I stopped worrying about specifics, because there are so many plants species, it’ll be impossible to find something for everything. I simply Google the plant and find something that resembles what they are specifying in my library. I was spending a massive amount of time looking for specific plants and trees, but it’s not worth it.
So cool…how did you make the road edges darker?
V-Ray’s edge distance material, which is extremely easy to use and works great.
