The computers we have at the office have got the same problem after the last uppdating of Windows when we try to render big files with ULTRA HD quality. We have different devices with different characteristics. We have try with different complex files and we got the same problem.
When we go back to the previous version of Windows then it works fine. Before of that we tried with previous versions of the graphic cards drivers and with previous versions of Enscape but the only way to solve the problem is to go to the previous version of Windows.
We have of course tried all the most recent Nvidia drivers and applied the most recent Microsoft patches
HP ZBOOK 17G2. Processor i7-4910. Ram 2,9Ghz (3,9T) 32Gb. Nvidia K3100. Win 10 pro 64 bit.
HP ZBOOK S 15G3. Processor i7-6700HQ. Ram 2,6 (3,5T) 16Gb. Nvidia Quadro M1000M. Win 10 pro 64 bit.
Even the last one with 16Gb Ram and the graphic card Quadro M1000M can do the render in Ultra HD quality of those files with the previous version of Windows but of course not after the new uppdating 1903.
So if we do the uppdating 1903 of Windows 10 we can´t do renders with Ultra HD quality of big files.
Hey @E.F , thanks a lot for your post and welcome to our forum!
I’m sorry to hear about that - in this case, would you be so very kind as to submit a feedback report from one of the machines on which you experience this problem? We also have a few systems running the latest version of windows here in our office, but do not experience such problems. That would be very helpful, since the feedback report transfers log files and machine information. Please also include your forum name in the submission form so that we know it’s from you!
I have just submitted 2 feedback report. Both same file but different devices. With one of them we still have the problem after installing the windows update 1903. With the other one we had the problem until we went back to a previus version of Windows so now is working well. I explained in the Feedback reports which is each one.
Try reinstalling the latest display drivers from Nvidia for your card(s), 1903 did some mucking about with display drivers that affected a lot of people, reinstalling the drivers usually fixed things.
I’m running 1903 with a RTX2080 with absolutly no problems whatsoever so it does work
@Paul_Russam - Thank you for providing us with this information, this may resolve the issue for some users. However the issue seems to be affecting GPUs with less processing power then an RTX 2080. It is especially interesting because when they roll back the system updates the issue seems to go away. So it probably has something to do with the Windows updates as well.
Thanks @Paul_Russam ! Unfortunately as @Josip_Curko said that solution didn’t work for us. Actually we had everything updated and one thing that we tried it was to go back to a previous version of the drivers just trying to find where the problem came from. We tried a lot of things. Finally we found that if we go back to the previous version of Windows before installing the Windows update 1903 the problem goes away in all our devices.
