I think they look fantastic! I wouldn’t change a thing on the Red Arrows image at all.
I’d say the highlights are a little burned out on the white planes - they would be in a photograph too but I think a touch of bloom would make it look more natural. Also the trails coming from the tips of the wings look ever so slightly odd but I can’t put my finger on it. It might be because they’re slightly on top of the wings but for all I know this is correct!
