I would like to run the first forum rendering competition.
What i need from you guy’s are the sort of competition you would like to do. .. e.g Interior render, Product rendering …so on and so on .. what ever you want.
From your request’s i will run a poll, and from that we i will run the competition for 2 weeks.
The prize will be the latest issue of 3D World… yeah i know .. but im skint.. :roll: .. unless Da_elf wants to offer a holiday home for a couple of weeks. :lol:
So what do you think .. what would you like to do?
I agree with Zuliban - most of us here in the Forum are doing much Archvis Stuff. I always see Challenges as fun and for learning purposes. Something with cool Effects and/or Characters would be nice.
I think about a theme tomorrow.
i insist on an exterior related to architecture,
or urban design,
we rarely see here a plaza, or a park,
it is quite different and fun,
i remember not long ago Fermí B. posted a public space in Barcelona,
i think that is a great theme, city landscape, plaza, public space, riverwalk, etc.
Anything but with lots of foliage, grass, trees everithing that surounds the building.
I want to buy foliage software but I dont know whats the best : Xfrog, Speedtree or …
Im game for anything. I mean anything. Its the first competition, so overdone arch vis’s aint overdone yet. just my opinion. Oh and NO vegetation plugins. Its unfair to those that dont have the money to spend on them. Everything native to max (ie AEC foliage is fine) or modelled by yourself. NO premade models from other webpages and such. All modelled by the author.
Do you think this topic should have its own fourm listing? I dont know whos responsible for adding the topics, but a tutorial section, and a Compitition section would be nice to have soon.
I thiknk it’s only fair to everyone (those that have the money and don’t have the money to get expensive models/plugins) to have the competition limited to author created stuff…
Well , i think that arch. is usually in this forum because mostly are inteiors … i´m agree with architecture exterior , contemporary stuff…maybe someone could model guggenheim museum ( i don´t know if i spell it well ) at bilbao , i wonder if somebody can create i shader like that , with different reflexions at day , that would be interesting , maybe not exactly the model but something like that…there is a lot of architecture exterior that can be awesome …
About plugins for tree creation,
people may use script, no ?
I may give my own (script) tree generator if someone needs it, it’s a
powerfull one; with textured and animated foliage.
Full 3d Trees. for Max 5 and 6.
