the real inox material???

anyone know the ‘’ How to do a inox material ‘’ in vray. with all the good settings.

we cant acheive it here. settings about inox are real weird. The reflection of this metal looks different from everything else.

thanks if you have some clue.

from what Ive found it looks close to a coarse brushed stainless steel material. there was a stainless example posed the other day I think in the General forum that you could use as a start and just add a brushed map to the bump and that should work… there are a couple brushed maps in the architectural maps that come with max8.

here is a good example

Hey, I googled that verry same image

how are your settings for this material. It look aluminium. real one

can someone reply that???

i’d say anisotropic glossys and a decent brushed metal bumpmap. For the colour variation i’d say falloffs should do the trick. There might be some (well or maybe a shitload :stuck_out_tongue: ) of tweaking involved to et it just right. Plus it’s most likely model dependant.

ior for stainlees is ???

i have check the ior for stainlees steel … it seems to be 1.577. does it seems good.

we have try fallof in the color… mmm, i hate this when cleint ask real stainless… we laways have to cheat in photoshop … in final post prod

even deetee compilation ???

even detee compilation with the metal brush 1 is sot what we are looking for…

Any clue to do a great seeting for the misterious stainlees steel looking with the wavy reflection, little reflection etc.. and the particularity of the color…
