three more jotero renderings

This is three renderings I made of a Jotero modell first is gold I belive or at least it was my intention. The second is jade (but mor green plastic), and the third is ice or glass. renderings just for fun and to tryout.
pleace comment if you like or want the mats

Nice work, a couple comments on the images.

• The first image is really nice, but something about the material makes it look small, like a miniture version.

• the second with the jade is great, I really like that one.

• The third, something just off on the material for ice or glass, looks more like really dirty water…

nice tests tho!

first of all, those are nice rendering!
comments: i think the big pattern on the wall makes the statue looks small. maybe try to reduce the size of the pattern

i don’t know, but i think he wants to look it like miniature versions. (?)
very nice materials!

i recently saw several indian jade items in a museum over here and there was much more sss (sub surface scattering) going on
also it had veins and was not as green as yours

might be the exact type of jade though

hmm it sweet stuff… plenty examples (if somewhat small) here.

I agree with dominiquelaksmana about the pattern making them look small. When I fist saw them thought about 200-300 mm tall. But then I noticed skirting which makes the statue about 2m.

However tall they are they still look good. I would suggest that the wall paper actually devalues the statue. Makes them look cheep (but it does give cool reflections in the gold) fake gold fake jade.

I love the modelling and think they are cool. I too am trying to make a statue out of ice. There are threads in Chaos that have helped

Thank you all for your input. I think the reason for the miniatureness of the models is partly because of to much DOF.
Note! I didn´t model the sculpture! It´s a scan downloaded from http://www.jotero.com/

hehe cool renders..

dont suppose you could share your gold material.. its rather nice

here it is

Thanks

gold has an ior of around .47 be interesting to see it with a ior of less than 1

What do you mean? I´m not using ior in this mat.

Hey, Just want to thank you again for that deadly simple yet very effective gold material.

I reckon it works rather well

I know, but it could…

yes. it´s to simple  nice car!

@rerender. OK I see. I tryed it but it dont look like gold
