Some interiors. I tried to use the Bloom/Glare, but really couldn’t get anything good; these do not have it. I am seeing a lot of bright spots, which I don’t usually get. Should I clamp?
Space is pretty boring. No backsplash or real color, but it is to their specs, and they approved it up until today’s furniture and clutter.
Is there a tutorial or workflow for precision bloom/glare? I either use Random Control or switch to corona to flush out the lens effects. It would be really nice if vray bloom/glare would interactively (too slow now) update as you spin the settings
On the plant in the second image? Those look odd and I would like to take a look at that object/scene if possible.
It would be really nice if vray bloom/glare would interactively update as you spin the settingsThey do this in the latest 3.5 beta and they are quite a bit faster too.
Updates. Subpixel Mapping fixed the bright areas. I did have highlights that took a long time to process. The V-Ray bucket sat over a few for about an hour.
These are 1/2 resolution and took a little over an hour. Full sized will be 4X that, which is concerning. I did some things that I know slow it down, but the subtle color from my HDRI is worth it, I think. If I were to post this I am sure the first thing people would say would be to get rid of the HDRI and use a V-Ray Dome/Sky.
Agreed. I’ll spend more time balancing things out for the finals.[quote=“Morne, username:Morne”]
The fireplace in the 1st version looks closer to real. The 2nd one is way too bright

are you using arion fx to process the images? maybe its my glasses but seems a little burry i can’t focus on the image, maybe its my glasses but none the less love it! the decore is really simple and nice
Just include it in 3.5. If the framework is there, just copy and paste it into the domelight code
(True story - ones was asked to modify something to a 10 minute animation after the fact - using copy and paste)
I look forward to it. It took 6 hours for a high-resolution, but it looks nice![quote=“vlado, username:vlado”]
Just so you know, for V-Ray 3.6 we plan to use the adaptive lights framework to speed up rendering of dome lights quite a bit.
good eye on the person who noticed the drawer fronts missing on the base cabinets. that made me notice that the drawer front of the sink has a pull that most likely would not be there since the sink occupies the space a drawer would use. very minor and does not take away from the overall high quality - maybe paint it out?
6 hours! daaaaaaang, well to me better to always us IM and LC you just can’t beat the render times, with BF also with my scenes it takes forever, most people can’t tell the difference at all so just makes no sense not to use IM and LC
It is hard to get rid of the splotches and noise with IM. What are your IM settings? I tried with just a V-Ray SkyDome, but the render times were the same, so I went back to my HDRI, which looks a lot better.
