Hi all,
Im having probs making a realistic blue tinted glass for a tower animation.
I cant put up a screenie, but its basically a black diffuse mat, with a fresnel falloff map for reflections, and a refraction of near solid white, but tinting with blue.
Ive put unlocked the glossy and highlight, and given the reflection a highlight of .6
Can any one surgest a better method? I am not getting a realistic look at the moment.
Thanks
Tinting it with refraction wont do too much. I suggest you use fog.
Set it to a blue ish color then lower the fog multiplyer until you get what you want
Cool, so the best setup would be 100 refraction, black diffuse, and tint with fog, and tone down with multiplier? What is the multiplier dependent on, units of scene?
Thanks
yep exactly
I believe thats correct yes.
Cool Ill have to look in to that.
If you dont mind, could you look at this thread. I recon your gunna have some good advice.
