Are those gona be integrated?
I understand that there are sevirel ways to do this usig two sets of render engiens One for the geometry and one for particles and VFX, but it causes INSANE rendertime isues and a LOTS of woodoo with composting and scene setup.
good luck on getting a reply.
Well, the reply is probably the same as for all Vfx related feature requests: some day it will be implemented. The main focus of corona development right now is archviz, not tv/movie/animation productions. So… once the archviz features are all in, there will eventually be fumefx and tp support.
i may have missed it in the countless threads but this is the first word about it for me.
so it all amounts to “someday probably” as far as these features are concerned.
i understand the priorities but some requests just go by seemingly without notice, that has to be said.
also i honestly am confused by this clear division of the 3d field.
it baffles me how high-end archviz does not imply having real fireplaces, clouds and similar.
anyway, thanks for the insight.
In the next, main Corona Upgrade, Ondra promised a better integration with Particle flow.
That’s what we know at this point.
Well, there is only limited time for a limited number of programmers. Some people want better DR, others adaptivity (me, since 2012), a skin shader, fumefx, velocity RE, etc etc etc.. The Corona team obviously chose to serve the field first which has a broad user base and is most likely to finance the development for the next couple of month/years - which is archviz. Doing a bit of everything would probably have ended in “not useful for anything serious”. Sure, some people would like to use fumefx for fireplaces, but that’s a small percentage and there are workarounds (like cards). Some things like DR or SSS are probably more important for a bigger fraction of users.
I just dont comment if I dont have anything of essence to say - which is this case - of course it is a valid request, but there is no estimate when it will be done.
and that is very admirable. i also appreciate how transparent you have been with the development and still are, it just that a couple of words could go a long way.
completely understand your standpoint though.
That is not a big problem anyway since the TP bakes to geometry preety well. And volume can be aded later using vray or some other render.
Anyway thanks for the answer.
we are in contact with developers and making some progress here…
fume is done (TP afaik requires some bugfixes but those are tracked)
