Trial License compatibility with Maya Student

Hi,

I have recently downloaded the trial version of VRay and am attempting to render out in Maya, however, I am having issues with lighting (HDRI map is not being read) or when I use rectangle lights the object is rendering black on a white background. Is this a license issue between the Maya student version or have I done something else wrong along the way?

I don’t think that there’s any restrictions on what type of Maya license can be used with a trial version of V-Ray, but it would be best to contact the support team https://www.chaosgroup.com/support/contact or write in the licensing forums Licensing - Chaos Forum.
