Triplanar for reflective mat?

Hi,
Is triplanar working for 100% reflective material without map, or it works only on texture level?
Is there something in Vray like the triplarreflective in Vred.

Triplanar is just a way to project texture maps onto objects, like in the video you posted. If you don’t have texture maps, there’s no use for it.

The mat is called triplanar reflective as opposed to Triplanar alone. So I guess, such mat used without a texture will produced a triplanar reflective material, usefull to render glass, mirror… But I may be wrong as I never used Vred.

tirplanar is a projection method. I dont understand what one would use it for without a texture…

What Manuel already said, I can’t see what is special here ?.
I like the control that they have for the triplaner texture tho ..size in each direction and tile for 3 axis @vlado in relation to earlier discussionwe had in the wish-list forum I think you will like to check this:
