I am reporting a bug where TriplanarTex does not function correctly in the Bump and Opacity slots within Chaos Vantage.
The issue is not that the texture is missing, but that the Triplanar projection settings are completely ignored.
Specifically:
- When I adjust the Scale, Offset, or Rotation in the TriplanarTex node, the changes are reflected perfectly in the Diffuse and Reflection slots.
- However, in the Bump (Normal) and Opacity slots, the texture remains fixed to the object’s original UVW coordinates.
- Even if I change the Triplanar settings, the Bump and Opacity maps do not update or follow the Triplanar projection; they only respond to the underlying UV map.
This creates a serious mismatch where the Diffuse texture follows the Triplanar mapping, but the Bump and Opacity do not align because they are stuck on the default UVs.
It seems Vantage is bypassing the Triplanar calculation for these specific slots and only sampling the bitmap via standard UVW mapping. Please look into this, as it makes Triplanar mapping unusable for materials requiring transparency or bump details.
