it drives me mad it takes ages to render glossy effects.
i don´t know where to start to speed them up.

are the default settings usefull or to high?
set subdivs to 3, and increase if that is too grainy. 50 is good for interpolation, but is way too much for normal glossy.

Yes, use low subdivs. Also the aa settings are important, because they smooth out the glossy effect too. I usually use low subdivs with high aa settings.
