Unable to render sequence in 1.5

I just upgraded to 1.5 and it doesn’t appear I can render out animation sequences, it will only render out whatever frame is currently being viewed in the timeline for the duration of the timeline is. When you hit play or scrub through the timeline it shows the animated camera as normal.

I reverted back to 1.43 and everything works as expected so it doesn’t appear to be a camera issue.

Yep, I just tried this and the same problem, very suprised Chaos!

Sorry about that. We will fix it ASAP and upload a fixed build.

Greetings,
Vladimir Nedev

Is there likely to be a new build with this fix today or should I revert back a version?

I’m not sure if this is the same issue, but after installing version 1.5, I can’t see the mentioned “Live Link animation render button” in the Vantage toolbar.

I also can’t see the “Chaos Vantage” category in the Customize User Interface / Toolbars / Category dropdown.
If I search for “Vantage” commands in 3ds max by hitting “X” it does not show any commands either.

I’m on Max 2022.2 Update.

Yes, this will be resolved when you update V-Ray for 3ds Max. The new update will be released very soon.

@ryan_companies , @luckett_jason,

We will fix the animation sequence rendering shortly with a fix.

Best regards,
Simeon

The issue in this thread is regarding rendering out a sequence within Vantage itself, not via Live Link. It might be worth starting another thread for that particular issue.

Hi all,

We are currently working on a fix for this and other things. We will inform you when there is available build.

Best regards,
Alexander

We’ve released a hotfix update 1.5.1 which fixes the issue (and a few other issues).
