Also, on the second dialog box, I can’t open the compression method or the linear model. I am assuming I should have options there. (Correction, it does open the drop down, but it’s really slow and takes 60-90 seconds to work).
Any progress on this? Third unique project and it still crashes my scene. I am now running V-Ray NEXT, tried it again and it still crashes. Probably not a high priority thing, but if I can cut my render times, it would be awesome
The conversion process is really slow. I know it is probably scene specific, but should it take an hour+? For about an hour I get (Not Responding) and then it’ll only convert some, with a message telling me how many couldn’t be converted. When I run it again, it’ll convert the rest.
Okay I managed to track down the problem in Crossmap and I can fix that but in the end it does not help much as then it crashes in BerconTile later.
This also happens with any other standard Bitmap texture you put into BerconTile too. As soon as you do that strange VRayBitmap to VRayHDRI conversion it is basically screwed from then onwards.
I am sorry to say that but I am not sure if we can help you much further here with this.
Their conversion seems to be doing something internally that is screwing up Texmap access for 3rd party plug-ins inside VRay itself somehow.
You might want to go back to ChaosGroup I can provide a very simple scene containing a plane a VrayMtl + BerconTile Map + Bitmap texture and it is going to crash right after you do the conversion step. If that helps.
