Here is a little piece I whipped together while waiting for the kettle to boil.
First and foremost big-up to Ryan of Warrington as he modelled the house (3 years ago) and ive nicked it for my scene. Respect even though he called this ‘cheesey’. I dont mind though, im comfortable with cheese.
Its not named yet so feel free to come up with any suggestions.
And I wish I lived in it, a place in the country would be sweet. Instead I share a town house with an alcoholic and a hair dresser with OCD.

The image looks really nice. You have some tiling issues with the grass and maybe adding displacement to the stone wall would make it “pop”. The foreground trees look great.
Yep that wall is lookin flat, as for the grass, i think the tiling is being highlighted by the sun beams cutting across it which still need a bit of work. Poo, never mind, the weekend starts in less than an hour!
If you mean the upper canopy leaves then yeah i agree they suck - but - thats only cause i dont know how to map both sides of the leaf. The leaf shape is very cg too but we cant thank archmodels for that.
Those leaves are mapped, I assumed that the ones that looked unmapped were facing away from the camera and just had plain backs or something. But I think if i colour correct them in max by raising the gamma they’ll render better.
You guys are really amazing ! Where do you find time to make suck stunning grass et vegetation ? I never ever have time to spend on thos parts of the image and It always ends in a “photo collage”…

Does anyone know how to render correct volume light with vray? Ive tried to do it in post on this image but its bugging me. Ive played about with adding a seperate standard direct light with volume but it doesnt recognise my proxied trees.
Pixelab - thats like making a great sunday roast and then not bothering with the gravy and just putting a bottle or brown sauce on the table.
I used to comp in all my trees and planting but now that we’ve built up a solid library of proxied models i reckon it takes the same amount of time to merge in and tweak trees/plants as it would to PS them.
I like the sound of that story, a bit blairwitchey.

As for it being a big snobby manor, yep i agree it could be owned by a big fat greasey fox hunter called something like ‘Count Percival Rupert Shrubbery the 3rd’ and id be the first to tear up the lawn in my imported 6litre supercharged HSV.
