Update 2.0 not working with my intel CPU

Hi,

I kept on getting the update 2.0 pop-up , after a week or so I updated it quickly without reading (stupid.. i know..) the bottom warning about not being opparable with an Intel CPU. Since i have a Macbook Pro with an intel CPU it ofcourse stopt working.. my computer is only 2 years old and i’m not able to update to a newer model with an apple CPU. I tried recovering the enscape app through my back up on time machine.. but i keep getting the attached pop-up on “unable to find entry point”. Could someone please help me to get the old version of enscape working again?

Welcome to our Forum @robbie .

Kindly allow me to quote myself from a different thread regarding basically the same topic:

Please kindly keep in mind that we really cannot offer support for our past releases of Mac for Enscape below 2.0, but you can acquire the previous release here at your own risk. Make sure to also use only SketchUp 2023 and no version beyond that like 2023.1 for example.

Thanks Demian,

I tried uninstalling enscape 2.0 over and over again and kept getting the same pop-up message… in the end i found this page:

https://learn.enscape3d.com/blog/knowledgebase/getstarted-macos/

somewhere in the middle it explains how to really uninstall enscape (through use of terminal) and from there on I could reinstall the older version. which seems to work fine for now.

Hi @Demian_Gutberlet , can you please resend the link to download past releases of Mac for Enscape below 2.0? I am facing the same compatibility issue.

Thank you very much in advance

Hi @Demian_Gutberlet !

I have exactly the same problem, I have fresh new MacBook with the Intel processor (that works great with other programs) - could you please resend the link for the past releases of Enscape for Mac?

All the best,

Danne

Hi @Dannedojja and welcome to our Forum.

You can acquire a previously released Enscape for Mac version (at this point officially unsupported) which should still work with your Intel on-board graphics here:

Hello, can you reupload the Enscape-Mac-1121.pkg file please ?

Thanks

Victor

Hi @Victor614 , this previous (unsupported) Enscape for Mac installer can now be found once again here to download.

Hello @Demian Gutberlet I am also having the same issue, I downloaded the version you sent but I cannot make it work on rhino7 for mac pro intel. Can you please help me with that

Hello, @Demian_Gutberlet can you reupload the Enscape-Mac-1121.pkg file please ?

Thanks

I’m unfortunately afraid to let you know that we cannot offer any additional support in this case, as this seems to be a compatibility issue generally. Of course whenever you may acquire or use a system that meets our system requirements please let us know in case you still experience any further issues.

You can acquire this specific version again here. Kindly keep in mind that we cannot offer any official support in case this version does not work with your current Mac.

Hello @Demian_Gutberlet can we get a new link of the previous versions of enscape, I am getting an expiration error message and would love to still try it out on my mac pro intel.

Welcome to our Forum.

You can find a non-expired link to this prior version which should still support your machine here. As mentioned prior though, there is unfortunately no official support we can offer at this point in case there’ll be any problems.

Hello @Demian_Gutberlet Thank you for getting back to me! Is that version only for sketchup? If not, can I also download it to work with rhino?

I’m afraid we only supported SketchUp with that specific prior version of Enscape for Mac - In this regard we can only reccomend upgrading to another supported Mac should that be possible if you wish to use Rhino with Enscape, or perhaps even switching to a Windows machine.

Just to mention so you are aware of all your potential options.

Can you repeat the Enscape 2.0 download link for Mac? I have a Macbook computer with an i9 8-core processor and 16 RAM, but I cannot install Enscape with the current versions. It does not allow it because it is Intel based.

Hi @saitcesur , I’m afraid we do not share this version publicly anymore given that there’s also no support we can offer at this point whatsoever. In this specific case we can only reccomend switching/upgrading to a currently supported machine.

You’ll also find our macOS system requirements here, and our Windows requirements here.

I’m sorry for not having any more positive news right now but please also let me know in case of any further questions.
