Thank you. Does the file have to be opened locally? I tried putting it on our server and opening it but it doesn’t work. Copied to my desktop and it opens fine.
I know nothing about this. But you can decompile any .chm file, so it will be opened as on spot3d
This happens on our network too, with any chm, not sure why, I just assumed it was some security setting.
I downloaded the 22Mb and the 153Mb file. Each of the .rar files (1 thru 4) seems to produce the same .chm file as the smaller 22Mb file. Is there suppose to be a difference between the two? If not, what is the purpose of the 153Mb download?

the 22 meg file does not have those included
Perhaps I’m missing something but there is no video or tutorial files containded in any of the four .rar file (153Mb version). In fact, when I decompress any one these files they all produces another file called Vray.manuel.rar of size 160,974,738 bytes. If I decompress that file, I get the Vray manual.chm file of size 160,974,659 bytes which is exactly the same as the help file Vlado posted and have the same creation date.
I just don’t get. These file all give the same results. Can some help explain what if anything I’m doing wrong.
Did Vlado post a CHM?
The chm is exactly the same as the online help file except that it can be accessed offline, it is also handy because it can be added to the help folder and plugin.ini of max and accessed through the “help” menu…

Thanks. I was expecting additional tutorials or even video attached to those files. I was just supprised to find that I downloaded 5 files totaling 153Mb only to find that each generated the same .chm.
In any case, thanks for the explaination.
Its a split archive - when you extract one, if all the others are in the same folder it uses them automatically - take one away, and it wouldnt work at all.
