Upside-down renderings from physical cam?

I just know I’m gonna feel like an idiot in about 10 minutes, but does anyone know what might cause all renderings made from the physical camera to be upside-down? Switching to a standard max cam, everything is right-side up. Creating a new vray cam and it’s flipped.

?

Thanks

Thats pretty strange!!

Unless your vraycam has just be rotated 180deg?

Have you tried starting a new max scene and create a vraycam then?

is your target set to the same location as the camera? although this usually gives a pointing down effect i think

ok I had this yesterday, make sure that your values are the default. Resetting all values to default will sort it out.
Vlado - maybe a reset to default option could be added?

As in the camera settings them selves were causing the problem?

Maybe it was the vertical shift being out of whack?

It can happen if the target focus distance for the camera is smaller than the focal length for the lens.

Vlado

hmmm… are you able to add something to rc4 (or final) to prevent this.

Something to prevent the flipping or something to prevent the user from setting the target distance too low?

Best regards,
Vlado

Well what ever would stop the flipping. Either stopping the flipping itself or stopping the user from getting the target distance too low.
Whatever would make it impossible to get camera flip.

Well, it’s gone. I rebooted, and voila, works as expected. Thanks for the ideas guys, it might have been a matter of the focal length/targe distance. I think the the units of the max file were screwy too.

Thanks,

Andrew
