Here to share an early design work for Hyatt’s Andaz Hotel in southeast China.
Main concept of is to create an ‘urban resort’, at the very heart of the populated modern city. Inspired by the local architecture style and colonial history, we were aiming to ‘reshape’ a mansion courtyard at the tranquil side of the mixed-use project. The space organization, materialization, landscape, and interior refinement created an ‘old mansion’ may imagined to lead back to Xiamen’s 1920s’ times, while the whole design keeps its modernity..
